The Unknown Valuables are a team of six thoughtful storytellers Zaina, Jovia, Badru, Michelle, Patiance, and Phillip Ethan from Wampeewo Ntaake Secondary School. As part of the YouthLearn Africa Digital Changemakers program, they’re using media to talk about who they are, what they dream about, and the kind of future they want to help build.
YOUTH VOICES AND STORIES

The Unknown Valuables' work includes a shared group poem, “We Are the Hope of the Future,” and two powerful story projects: “It’s All About Passion” and “The Journey to Hope Begins Now.” Together, they explore courage, talent, and the small choices that keep hope alive in real life, not just in speeches.

We Are the Hope of the Future
In this group poem, The Unknown Valuables speak as one voice, naming their fears, strengths, and the dreams they carry for tomorrow. It’s a reminder that hope isn’t somewhere far away — it’s already living inside young people who are ready to show up, learn, and lead.
It’s All About Passion
“It’s All About Passion” follows Lena, a girl who loves handball but keeps hearing, “That sport is not for girls.” Instead of giving up, she and her brother Lee create a clear four-week training plan with their coach, focusing on skills, safety, and real targets. By the end, Lena proves that talent has no gender — only commitment, practice, and fair chances
The Journey to Hope Begins Now
In “The Journey to Hope Begins Now,” Michelle reflects on her father’s recovery after an accident and how hard it is to move through a world that isn’t ready for people with disabilities. She decides she can’t be a doctor yet, but she can start now: studying seriously, learning basic first aid, keeping school paths clear, and choosing kind, respectful words. Her story shows that hope is built in small daily habits — study, help, include.
